(Silicone thermosetting resins are among the best of all polymer materials in resistance to temperature. Hence, silicone is broadly used for high temperature electronic applications requiring low electrical losses. Silicone isn't as strong as epoxies and phenolics upon aging at lower temperatures but is stronger upon aging over 400° F.) I initially left a negative review for this seller as my package never showed up. The package was sent to my PO Box number at the UPS store. The address used by the seller was correct. It should have come quickly after shipping. Unfortunately the shipper chose to ship by US Mail. It floated around for many days somewhere in the black hole of the postal service. I wish to correct my previous negative view to a positive view. The seller was helpful in tracking the route of the package.

I have not way to verify if this is fact 4140, there was no identifying info included, but will know when I heat treat it. However measurements seem to be spot on as advertised. Poorly packaged (just rattling around in the box) and shipping seems excessively high.
